I’m a little bit country…
I was born in Florida but grew up in West Texas, where I done got me my accent.
In my 20’s, I moved to Dallas, where I done got me my hat.
…And a little bit techno.
I wrote music and lyrics throughout my childhood, determined to become a pop star. I recorded an EP in 2005, and discovered I didn’t sound quite as much like Lady Gaga as I’d hoped.
Although, I am a pretty good musician. And at the time, I had built a rather competitive home recording studio. My later recordings I’m quite proud of. My earlier recordings, well… they’re not posted for a reason.
Acting.
I dreamed of becoming an actress when I was a little girl. But it wasn’t until my 30’s that I turned my attention in any serious way toward acting. Acting classes, workshops, headshots, road trips to auditions, crash diets, snarky agents…I adore creative types, and this was one of my favorite chapters. In my first year, I starred as Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, shot a television show pilot that never saw the light of day, and, thanks to an informercial I was in, became an internet meme!

My favorite role was that of demon Hell spawn in the music video for “Walking Dead” by 1000 Pounds of Thrust. You don’t always know in the moment when you’ve made friends for life.
That was such a long day of shooting that I didn’t even change out of my costume before driving home. It was late, I was tired, and I figured my boyfriend would enjoy the look. But first, I did have one stop to make:
